THE BACHELOR: The Final Rose

WARNING: This post contains true feelings of a woman who was emotionally invested in a love story between a boy and a girl that went horribly wrong. All of the words you are about to read are real and raw. Reader discretion is advised.

Did I just watch The Bachelor or a twisted episode of Jerry Springer? For me this season started out as all harmless fun. A little drama here, a little drama there, but still all in good fun. But Monday night? That was something else! It was horribly, disgustingly, awful! If you ask me Jason can just stick that final rose where the sun don't shine! Maybe instead of saying "Melissa, will you accept this rose?" He should have said "Melissa, will you accept this rose so I can throw it at you in front of 20 million people, run it over with a semi and leave it there to shrivel and die, while simultaneously crushing your faith in love, men, and all that is good in life." Maybe he should have said that.

There are no words to describe the disgust I feel right now towards this man. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that Jason is the douchiest douche bag of all the douche bags in the world. I am totally regretting those tears of joy I cried (yes, I cried) when Jason proposed to Melissa, put that ring on her finger, and told her "I love you. I love you. I love you. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." Ugh! I'm so upset right now.

And don't get me wrong. I completely understand that sometimes two people can fall out of love just as easily as they fell into love, but what a way to break up with a girl on national television! Only a man whore would invite "the other girl" back onto the stage five minutes after dumping his fiance and make out with the manipulative, two-faced, home wrecker! I never did like you Molly. Jason, you're just an idiot.

Why did I even watch that filthy show for 6 weeks? I knew the internet spoilers were going to be true, but I didn't know it would be that painful to watch. All I gotta say is good for you Melissa for sticking up for yourself and not holding back when it came time to speak. He's everything you said and more. Yah, you all know what I'm talking about. And Melissa, as luck would have it, I think it's safe to say you're much better off without him.

And one last thing. Knowing that a lot of women, like me, would be seriously upset about tonight's ending, swearing they would never watch this horrible show again, I decided to read through Chris Harrison's blog and see how he was going to defend the show. Be sure to check it out because I believe the man when he talks about how he was absolutely devastated when Jason called him after the holidays to say he was going to dump Melissa and do the unthinkable and make the switch. It's worth a look.

Enough of that. I'm emotionally, mentally and physically drained. I need to go read my scriptures now for some uplifting words before I hit the pillow. See you tomorrow when I blog about the ATFR-Part II. Stay tuned.

Sorry you had to get so involved in this show - it just goes to show you that you can't find true love that way! It's just not real life...

Yep, last night was a joke. I just wish I knew if Jason was asked in advance to pick Melissa and then dump her on TV to pick Molly. That's what the blogs say...I just wish I knew if that was planned. And ew, gross. How wrong to have Molly there and for the two of them to act the way they did. Makes me think Molly knew about it all along too. Innapropriate. She wondered about Melissa for all of like 3.5 seconds? Then was all cuddly and making out with Jason. Whatever.

I didn't get to watch it but a friend I work with always gives me the updates on Tuesdays mornings then I always follow through with you blog...needless to say I went straight for your blog this morning. I really think Jason is an idiot and so not the guy we all thought he was...he is so not classy and gentleman like..what kind of girl wants to end up with a man like that? Good Luck Molly..you deserve what you get!

I had a huge headache after watching last night. I agree with everything you said. I hope Jason ends up alone. The guy just couldn't act like a grown up and "try" things with Melissa, instead he thought "the grass is greener..." It's a joke. I think he proposes to Molly tonight. ugh. She needs to learn how to blend her eye makeup. it bugs me so bad! Miss you girly!

I think he has some problems he needs to work through! I am very annoyed by him right now! It was his choice but I think that the way he went about it was very tacky!

SO FREAKING LAME!!!

jason = major looser.
molly = major issues.

remember when deanna told jason with her advice to not go with the wild card (molly) and to go with what you wanted from the beginning (melissa)??

he just proved to be as lame as deanna choosing jesse.

ha.

Hi Aubs...

Oh man, BEST post yet!!! I was cracking up reading it. For the record, I am not mad at Jason. I think the this show totally plays with emotions. What if he had just said, "I can't make this decision right now." He had to put a ring on someone's finger that day and realized after the show was over and all the glitter and fantasy dates were done that he didn't feel that spark with Melissa. And why "fight" for a relationship that six weeks into it you aren't feeling it? Its doomed to fail. The reason he broke up with her on national television is because of his contract and anything major that happened would have to be aired. Bottom line, I'm not mad at Jason and I think he was completely honest with his feelings. He kept saying he wished he didn't feel the way he did and I believe him....

Ok, off my soapbox. No one needs to agree with me but apparently I felt that I needed to get that out! Haha...

I totally love jason still. I think he wasn't right for either of them. Before he proposed (which was super and oober romantic) it came in my head that Melissa wouldn't be able to handle a marriage, let alone being a step-mother INSTANTLY! And I think Molly has her head on straight (in comparison to melissa).

I was super mad that Melissa wasn't looking at Jason while he was trying to tell his feelings, but I guess she deserves it since a camera is in front of her face.

And how is their relationship supposed to work if all they do is TEXT while living in different cities? What the heck!?

YES! I would love to get together and watch our dear Jillian win the hearts of 25 hunks(let's hope)!! Too bad we have to wait until MAY 18th!!!! What the heck is THAT? Question for you. I saw a long time ago that you moved into a re-furbushed apartment on Violet Lantern. It's not on the corner of VL and Selva is it?????????

The Townsend Family said...

Hahaha YES! My parents live one street up from you on El Encanto! I was driving down Selva the other day and I saw the CUTE place on the corner and thought... "hmmm that looks like SUCH a cute place, I wonder if that's where Aubrey lives!!" (I even noticed a cute topiary plant on the doorstep and thought for SURE it had to be yours. hahaha My husband and I always say how awesome that place looks. Too funny!

ps - I could be totally wrong on the topiary part, but it seemed to fit! hahaha (and I will be totally embarrased if I'm actually right).
