One of the many perks of living in Laguna are the beautiful beaches. The stretch of sand at 9th, a.k.a. Thousand Steps (aptly named) is definitely among my favorites. Today we did a little sun bathing, caught up on some reading, played a little frisbee, and swam in the surf. I would consider it another perfect Saturday.

The BIG 3-0!
Two of my ridiculously good looking friends turned THIRTY this week...
Tuesday night we celebrated Brother Mark Schiefelbine over the hill! We started out with a little dinner at PF Changs and then cruised over to the Villa de Hazy for a "killer" game (no pun intended) of Mafia. Some of my favorite memories ever include Mark and Mafia. He is hands down the best Moderator ever! If you've never played Mafia with this kid before you are seriously missing out. Happy Birthday Marky Mark!Friday night we celebrated Roselyn into the 30 and up club with some grub at Sonny's in San Clemente. I love me some Margherita Pizza. After dinner we wrapped things up with a little Rock Band at Monti, Craig, and "Sweet Peas" place. I usually just take the lead on vocals but tonight I finally learned to play the guitar and rocked the Bass (on easy...I'm learning). Happy Birthday to you Miss Ashton. I'm so "hot for teacher." Thanks for letting us get our Rock on with you!

Memorial Day FHE
What a way to end the holiday weekend! A bunch of SC5 wardies came over for some good times in the pool, shootin hoops, mini-golf, and even some s'more roasting on the fire. Good thing we had the Schief there to supervise.
My little brother got out on the court and showed the kids how it was done. Way to go Scotty!
Most of us just relaxed in the hot tub, trying to wash away our Monday night blues (usually Sunday night blues)...for those of you who don't have a 9 to 5, you'll someday know what we're talking about.
Brett helped Tessa figure out the right technique on the putting green.
I don't think she believed a word he said.
Aaron looking like a pro.
Bombs away! Brad and Allie enjoying the slide.
Kevin doing a backflip off the waterfall. He got everyone started...
Brad was a little fish monkey flipping off of everything.
Two at a time.
Let's make it three.
Good form.
How awesome is this picture? Four at one time? Amazing!
Way to make it look easy!
Thanks for playing.

Memorial Day '08
I fell in love this Memorial day...with these little guys. How cute are they??? Bree Hobbins was babysitting and decided to bring these adorable little munchkins down to T street in San Clemente. where we all just played in the sun.
Wann know what happens when you give a baby a blue Airhead?
One happy blue tongued baby.
Maggie and Bree showing each other their blue tongues.
I attempted to read my book but there were just way too many distractions.
McKenzie, the big sister, was busy helping Tanner and Logan digging a giant hole. I still remember my dad helping me dig holes and telling me that if we dug deep enough we might get to China. Sad thing was, I believed him!
Maggie busy doing her own thing.
Maggie really took a liking to Brett. She was flirting with him ALL day.
Isn't she adorable? I want one!
Alice, equally as adorable.
Maggie loved hamming it up for the camera.
Eventually she got tuckered out.
You're gonna want to click on this one to enlarge it. Logan snuck away down to the water for a minute and this is what we found him doing! Haha! I love this kid!
Tanner was stoked because all day he was admiring this lady's kite and after a she got her use out of it she came over to Tanner and asked if he'd like to keep it. You should have seen the smile on that kid's face. He was so excited and kept telling everyone that the lady gave him the kite and said he could keep it FOREVER! Unfortunately the kite broke 20 minutes later.
We were a little worried no one would show up because of the early morning clouds but the day ended up being sunny and beautiful.
As we were leaving the view was too perfect to not take a picture.
I just love the Riley sisters.
Good bye T street.
Until next time . . .

A Memorable Memorial Day Weekend
He proposed! It's official! Saturday morning the HOBBY yacht was suppose to set sail for Catalina. Our friend Greg had been planning for weeks to propose to his girlfriend Athena on the beautiful island. But, due to severe weather through the channel, plans changed. With the weather's cooperation, we were still able to do a lunch cruise through the harbor and enjoy the California coastline and Greg was still able to propose to the lovely Athena!
The happy couple!
Greg's plan was to get Athena alone on the front of the yacht so he could propose. While we were all talking, one by one we started clearing the deck until Greg and Athena were the last two left on the bow. It was so funny because we all huddled together on the top level so we could spy on them and watch the blessed event take place. (The picture is all blurry because I took it through the plastic).
Greg is so cute. He got down on one knee and asked Athena if she would spend eternity with him. She said YES!
We all cheered as Jeff broke out the bubbly and Ninja (Jeffrey) got on the loud speaker and announced to the rest of the boats in the harbor that Greg had just proposed! Everyone that heard cheered and helped us congratulate the newly engaged couple.
Brock and Nicole celebrating the engagement.
The rest of the day was spent enjoying the sunshine and eating tons of junk food. It was the perfect day for yachting!
Me and my twin.
Brother Hobbins let me captain the boat.
Emily's turn at the wheel.
Little Alice. So precious!
Brett being Brett!
Taylor gettin his yacht on!
Aaron just hanging out.
I love the Bennetts!
Girl time!
