What a weekend! I'm home from Big Bear and had such a blast with all of my best friends. Unfortunately, I came home feeling like I was hit, no, run over by a bus! I barely made it through the first hour of church before heading home to pass out on the sofa for six hours. I hate being sick.
When I finally woke up from my coma, I remembered that I taped the General Relief Society Meeting I missed Saturday evening. I grabbed the remote, fluffed up my pillow, and hit play. I might have been heavily drugged and in somewhat of a comatose state while I watched, but as soon as I heard Sis. Barbara Thompson, 2nd Counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency, step up to the pulpit and begin sharing the memory of her recent trip to London, I perked right up! She talked about a familiar British phrase in the underground tube system, "Mind the gap" and how to apply it to our spiritual lives. I ate every word she fed. It was everything I needed to hear. If you missed it, you're gonna want to check it out HERE. Great talk!
PS- Who in the world made all those flower corsages for the 360 women in the choir? Are you kidding me? It takes me almost 20 minutes to make ONE!!!
