Big Bang Friday

Friday night Dad scored us some awesome seats at the Angels Stadium of Anaheim right behind 1st base in fowl ball territory. While the Angels didn't win and we didn't go home with a ball, we still had fun thanks to the amazing seats and incredible fireworks extravaganza after the game. Thanks Dad for a great time at the ball game!

Nail Biting Ninth Inning

Monday night's Angel game was about as exciting as it gets. To start, big hitter Mark Teixeira showed off his new digs on Anaheim soil as he batted for the Angles in his first home game against the Baltimore Orioles . In recent weeks Casey Kotchaman was traded for the Atlanta superstar, a welcomed addition that will surely send us to the play-offs...as if we weren't headed there already. Aside from the new kid on the block it was exciting to see my favorite pitcher, #51 Joe Saunders, lead the Halos into a 5-1 lead over the Orioles.

But sure enough, things got even more exciting in the top of the ninth when Scott Shields was sent in to throw the final strikes and end the game. After a few slipped pitches, Scioscia made the call to the bullpen for Francisco Rodriguez to come out and finish off the inning. Unfortunately, K-Rod couldn't protect the Angels four-run lead against the O's. The game went into the bottom of the ninth tied 5-5. Lucky for Anaheim, the top of the order came around and Chone Figgins with a full count watched the 4th ball sail past him into the catchers glove, clinching a 6-5 win with a bases-loaded walk in the ninth inning. Talk about an exciting win! Love those Angels!

I Love my Angels

Tuesday night the Halos smeared the Mets in an inter-league game played at the Angels Stadium of Anaheim. Lackey merited a standing ovation from the crowd as he exited after giving us a 6-1 lead over the Mets, securing their position in the leader's circle. Way to go Lackey! Other noteworthy performances are credited to Hunter, Izturis, Guerrero, Kotchman and Mathis. Love you boys!

Baseball, Bowling & Birthdays . . .

Friday night was AMAZING! Daddy let us take the burb to Mormon Night at the Angel's Game! So fun! We stuffed our faces with hot dogs, nachos, and red vines. We didn't watch much of the game...mostly because our seats were in the very last row of the staduim. Regardless, it was a good game cuz I got to watch Garland pitch. Garland, if you're reading this, "Call me baby!"

Next on the agenda: LA! All the girls piled back into the beast and headed to LA to help one of our favorite friends, Brig Woods, celebrate his 26th Birthday. We did a little bowling (yes, I went bowling 2 nights in a row...AMAZING!) Tessa and I were a team and together we got the winning score of 141 and "totally redeemed myself" after Thursday night's pitiful performance. Thanks Brig for being born and giving us another excuse to party!!!

Birthday and Baseball

Thursday night we celebrated Kristin's 27th birthday with two of my favorite things. Hot dogs and hot baseball boys!

I went off my diet for the evening and shared dinner with Nicole. We scarfed some chicken tenders, chili cheese fries and a lemonade. Sometimes dieting is just not conducive to my lifestyle!

Although the Angels were massacred by Oakland, we still had a fabulous time! Oh, and we all got to take home these fabulous Angel hats. Go Halos!
